Hi, I was told that a letter from the IRS stating my annual income for the past 3yrs would be just as good as my W-2's. How would I obtain this info and would if need to be sent directly to the consulate's office. My consulate informed me of this info. but I cannot find it on the irs website.

Dear Debra:

You will need to fill out IRS form 4506. You can obtain this form from any IRS office or on our web site. Go to Immigration Research and click on "Other US Government Agency Web Sites". Then scroll down to IRS forms.

To send a copy directly to the consul, just follow the instructions on the form. Make sure you correctly fill in question #5.

The IRS office will be glad to give you any other information that you may need. Good luck.
