Dear Anonymous:
I had interview today and There is name change request. How long it take
My wife had Citizenship interview today. She passes everything. BUt there was last name difference on her Green Card and INS record (which had done 4 years ago,) Now she is married and want to change my last name. INS officer told her first INS has to send the papers to change the name and the you will recive the Oath date by mail. HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE TO RECIVE THE OATH DATE. thanks
I have my naturalization certificate, did not know that I could have changed my name during the interview. How can I change my name now? Is there special forms to fill out to change name for people with a naturalization certificate?
I obtained a naturalization certificate through my parents who became citizens but because I did not file for a name change before my naturalization, the name on my certificate, being my chinese name, is different than all my other documentation (including my social security, driver's license, etc.). Since then, I have filed for a name change and it was passed. How can I get a new naturalization certificate with my new name?
I got my naturalization when I was married. Now I am divorced. How can I change my last name
I want to change my last name in my naturalization certificate. How di I go about doing it?
I had submitted N400 one year ago when I was single. I just got married six months ago. In my marriage certificate I changed my last name BUT I did not report to the Social Security Administration office. DO I have to change my last name on my social security card before going to interview? AND Do I have to inform to the immigration office about my name change and about my Marritial status change before I go to the interview?

You can change your name right now. At your naturalization interview, you would take a certified copy of your marriage certificate so that the name you want can be placed on your naturalization certificate. Good luck.
