I HAVE BEEN IN THE UNITED STATES FOR A PERIOD OF 9 1/2 YEARS. YET, 5 YEARS AGO I TRAVELED CONSTANTLY TO PERU, IN ONE OCASSION I TRAVELED MORE THAN 6 MONTHS. I TRAVELED A LOT BECAUSE MY SPOUSE AND CHILDREN ARE IN PERU AND BACK THEN THEY WERE 8 YEARS OLD. I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR 6 YEARS [PHYSICAL PRESENCE, CONTINOUS].

I AM DEALING WITH THE MIAMI, FLORIDA OFFICE. AND YES I LISTED ALL MY TRIPS.

I HAD MY INTERVIEW YESTERDAY AND I PASSED THE ENGLISH EXAM,BUT THEN THE OFFICER ASKED ME WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME I LEFT THE USA AND I TOLD HIM 6 MONTHS AGO FOR 2 WEEKS. HE GAVE ME A LETTER TELLING ME THAT IN 2 WEEKS I WILL HAVE A DECISION. I HAD MY INCOME TAXES, BUT HE DID NOT ASK FOR IT.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW MY CHANCES. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I APPLY FOR CITIZENSHIP. I APPLIED 2 YEARS AGO AND THEY DENIED ME BECAUSE I HAD BEEN OUT OF THE USA CONSTANTLY. AFTER, I TRIED TO STAY HERE AND NOT TRAVEL.
WHAT DO YOU THINK MY CHANCES ARE?

You sound like you have a very strong case. Most likely, the examiner just wants to play it safe because you were refused once before. Probably you will receive your approval by mail.
If you have to go back to another interview, take everything you possibly have to prove you have been living in the US these past 5 years. Good luck.

Unfortunately, many examiners are either inexperienced, or are simply afraid to make a decision. Their easist course of action is simply to request more information, which gets the case off of their hands, and puts it into someone else's hands.
The Miami office has been known for its policy of making people come back for a second interview even though there is nothing to indicate that the person has abandoned their residence in the US. Hopefully, this will not be the situation in your case. Good luck.
