NEED HELP.... I was caught and convicted for posession of control substance(LSD) in summer of 1997 and place on deferred adjudification for 3 years when I was 20 years old. I complete the deferred adjudification in summer of 2000. I am now 27 years old. When I was on deferred and complete the deferred, I have NEVER ever committed or convicted of any crime what so ever. I am a permanent us resident for over 25 years. I heard that I cant apply for naturaliztion until 5 years after the completion of my deferred adjudification which mean I cant apply until summer of 2005. Is this TRUE ?? I also heard that if I apply, it can raise eyebrow with INS and may have deportation problems due to a deportation law of 1996. Is this TRUE also?? I am now married to my wife who just got her citizenship a few week ago and we have a child that was born in the U.S. 3 months ago. What do you think.. should I wait or Can I apply right now ????? HELP HELP
