We requested the INS to delay my mother's interview. We sent a letter throught the mail and included the original appointment letter with it too as indicated. But I'm now worried becasue we have not even received the return receipt from INS and the appointment is for June 11. If we don't get an answer by then she will go to the appointment but woun't have a letter. Will they let her in? Should I track the letter know to get it back? Thanks again for your input and great help.

We doubt that you will be able to get the letter back before the scheduled interview date, which we presume is July 11.
If your mother still wants to attend the interview on that date, she can appear with photo identification, and explain what happened with the original appointment letter. INS should be able to check their list of scheduled appointments to see that she is scheduled, and she can go ahead and attend the interview. Good luck.
