hi just wanted to know wht is the procedure for getting citizeship as i hold greencard for more than 5 yrs now
Hi!, I'm a 20 year old Inetrnational student in the U.S. My mother is an American Citizen but she never lived more that 5 consecutive years in the U.S. Am I eligible to become a U.S. citizen or not?
MY SISTER WANT TO PROCESS HER CITIZEN APPLICATION IN NY USA, WHAT WILL PROCESSING FEES IN NEW LAW.
i applied for my citizenship on 1998, i had to go back to my country for two years because to sell my property. i was issued a travel documents for me to stay 2 years, last week i recieved letter from INS saying i have to apply new. i also wrote a letter to ins stating that i wont be in the usa for 2 years.
what is your advice can i seek my senator thanks

The law is very clear on this point. If you have been outside of the US for more than one consecutive year, this breaks the continuity of your residence for naturalization purposes, and you will have to wait 4 years and one day before you can apply again. This is true, even if you had a re-entry permit. Good luck.

my mother and father are already permenant residents and get their citizenship in 2 years. I am 24 years old now, do I get any benefits from their citizenship? How about my wife? can I apply for a petition? right now
