320 - Children born outside the U.S. and Residing Permanently There

A child born outside the United States automatically acquires U.S. citizenship if:

  1. The child (including adopted children) is under 18 years of age;
  2. At least one of the child's parent is a U.S. citizen (by birth or naturalization);
  3. Child is a legal permanent resident in the custody of the U.S. citizen parent;
