319 - Naturalization for Persons married to U.S. Citizens

The non-citizen spouse applicant, who is currently a legal permanent resident, must have:

  1. Resided continuously in the United States for at least three years;
  2. Been living in "marital union" with the U.S. citizen spouse (certain exceptions may apply); and
  3. Been physically present in the United States for at least half the time of residence in the United States.
