241 - Detention and Removal of Aliens ordered Removed

In general, the Attorney General has a max of 90 days (known as the removal period) from the date of a non-citizen's final removal order to remove the non-citizen from the United States. The removable non-citizen may be detained during the removal period if required. If removal cannot be arranged during the 90 day removal period, then the non-citizen may be released subject to supervision.
