All INS Mailrooms Now Open

The Immigration and Naturalization Service has advised that all of its mailrooms, including the Vermont Service Center, have reopened for normal business.

The Vermont Service Center mailroom is where a white powder was found on Saturday.  The tests on the powder proved negative, but the mailroom remained closed until the entire area had been tested. 

The Service Center has advised that it will give consideration to those cases that had a deadline, but were received late because the mailroom was closed.
