President Bush Signs Anti Terrorism Legislation

President George W. Bush today signed into law the USA Patriot Act of 2001.  The official title of the bill is the "Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001".

Several sections of the bill contain provisions that directly or indirectly relate to enforcement of US immigration laws.  These include sections 401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 411, 412, 413, 414, 415, 416, 417, 418, 421, 422, 423, 424, 425, 426, 427, 428, and 1006.
