INS to Institute New Security Checks

The Immigration and Naturalization Service has advised that effective immediately all pending and future petitions and applications, except N-400s, will be the subject of a new security check.  Obviously, this will slow down even further the processing of these petitions and applications.

However, the Service further advises that premium processing cases will continue to be adjudicated within the 15-day time frame, unless there is a "security hit".

As more information is obtained, especially as to any effects on delays in processing, we will post the information to our web site.
